From 6 to 11 July, the Camí de Santiago Mallorca group took a trip to Las Merindades, one of the most surprising regions in the north of Burgos. It was a trip marked by nature, history, culture and, above all, the camaraderie of a group that made each stage a special experience.
For six days, we travelled through spectacular landscapes, charming villages and unique natural spaces, from the Ebro canyons to the Pasiegos valleys, passing through some of the most outstanding heritage gems in the area.

The chaplain of Palma prison, Jaume Alemany, has established a tradition of walking the Camino de Santiago every year, accompanying a group of inmates. The priest was recently awarded by the Consell de Mallorca for his work, and he is well known in Galicia, where he actively collaborates with the Cathedral of Santiago Foundation.

The president of the Association of Friends of the Camino de Santiago in Mallorca, Jaume Alemany, invited the members of the association to a fellowship dinner to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the organisation’s founding.
After dessert, which ended with a commemorative cake, Alemany presented awards to the first members who completed the Camino 25 years ago, as well as to essential collaborators. Once the formalities were over, the celebration continued late into the night.
