From Ribadeo to Arzúa: a comfortable and accessible way to experience the Northern Way

The Northern Way (Camino del Norte) is one of the most beautiful and authentic pilgrimage routes to Santiago. Declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site, it follows the Cantabrian coast before entering Galicia through green landscapes, ancient forests, charming villages and places rich in history and spirituality.

On this journey we will walk some of the most representative sections of the Galician Northern Way, from Ribadeo to Arzúa, combining the pilgrim experience with the comfort of fixed accommodation for much of the route and full logistical support throughout the trip.

This is an ideal opportunity to enjoy the spirit of the Camino, share the experience with fellow pilgrims and discover some of Galicia's most authentic corners, adapting each day to the abilities of every participant.

A Camino to enjoy step by step

Throughout the journey we will walk through charming stages connecting Ribadeo, Lourenzá, Abadín, Vilalba, San Alberte, As Cruces and Arzúa, enjoying nature, Galician heritage and the warm hospitality of its people.

The trip will also begin with a visit to one of Galicia's most iconic coastal landmarks: the spectacular Cathedrals Beach, famous for its impressive rock formations sculpted by the sea.

Route Overview

A journey through some of Galicia's greenest and most authentic landscapes, following in the footsteps of thousands of pilgrims who walk the Northern Way every year on their way to Santiago de Compostela.

Travel Programme

Day 2.- Departure from Palma de Mallorca to Asturias. Arrival and visit to the spectacular Cathedrals Beach. Participants are advised to keep swimwear and a towel easily accessible in case they wish to enjoy the beach or take a swim. Buffet lunch at a local restaurant. Afterwards, transfer to Ribadeo. Dinner and accommodation at the Hotel Voar.

Day 3.- Ribadeo – Lourenzá (27 km). Walking stage. Transfer and accommodation in Ribadeo at the Hotel Voar.

Day 4.- Lourenzá – Abadín (22 km). Walking stage. Transfer and accommodation in Ribadeo at the Hotel Voar.

Day 5.- Abadín – Vilalba (20 km). Walking stage. Dinner and accommodation in Vilalba at the Villa Alta and Terra Chá hotels.

Day 6.- Vilalba – San Alberte (22 km). Walking stage. Return to Vilalba. Dinner and accommodation at the Villa Alta and Terra Chá hotels.

Day 7.- San Alberte – As Cruces (24 km). Walking stage. Return to Vilalba. Dinner and accommodation at the Villa Alta and Terra Chá hotels.

Day 8.- As Cruces – Arzúa (27 km). Final walking stage of the Camino. Return to Vilalba. Dinner and accommodation at the Villa Alta and Terra Chá hotels.

Day 9.- Breakfast and transfer for the return journey to Mallorca.
