On June 5 and 6, 2026, the villages of Caimari, Selva and Biniamar will host the Jacobean Days 2026, an event organised by the Association of Friends of the Camino de Santiago of the Balearic Islands, in collaboration with the Town Council of Selva and FELIB.

The aim of these days is to promote and raise awareness of the Lluc to Santiago Way, a pilgrimage route that connects Mallorca with the wider European Santiago tradition.

Activities will begin on Friday, June 5 at 7:00 PM at the Mare de Déu de Montserrat Parish Church, with the official opening of the event, a presentation of the Lluc to Santiago Way by Jaume Alemany Pascual, president of the Association of Friends of the Camino de Santiago of the Balearic Islands, followed by an open discussion on pilgrimage experiences.

The main activities will take place on Saturday, June 6, with the inauguration and blessing of new Jacobean milestones in Caimari, Selva and Biniamar.

The gathering will start at 9:45 AM in front of Caimari Parish Church. Later, in Selva, the mayor Joan Rotger Seguí will address attendees before the blessing of the milestone by Mn. Jaume Alemany.

Participants will then walk an easy route of approximately 4 to 5 kilometres to Biniamar, where the final milestone will be inaugurated before concluding the event with a traditional picnic lunch at the Old Church.

The Jacobean Days seek to become a meeting point for pilgrims, heritage enthusiasts and all those interested in discovering and preserving Mallorca's historic routes, strengthening the island's connection with the Camino de Santiago.
