Last Saturday, May 23rd, the group from Amics del Camí de Santiago Mallorca enjoyed a new hiking outing around Cala Boquer, in Pollença, a short route in distance but demanding due to the steep terrain and the intense heat that already hinted at the arrival of the Mediterranean summer.
The path to the cove offered some of the most characteristic landscapes of northern Mallorca, with stone trails, Mediterranean vegetation and wide views towards the Serra de Tramuntana and the sea.
Although the hike was not long, the descent to the cove and the climb back tested the group’s pace and endurance, especially under unusually warm temperatures for this time of year.
Reaching Cala Boquer provided a well-deserved moment of rest by the sea, in a peaceful and beautiful natural setting where conversation, companionship and the joy of walking together were once again shared.
A simple yet intense day that reminded us once more that every excursion has its own character, and that even short routes can become memorable experiences.
