Camí de Santiago Mallorca · Northern Portugal, group 1 · 5–10 October 2026

From 5 to 10 October 2026, the first Camí de Santiago Mallorca group travelled through northern Portugal and Galicia. Over six days, walks were combined with visits to historic cities and places along the Atlantic coast, on a route that began in Valença do Minho and ended in Santiago de Compostela.

The opening stage took the group to the fortress of Valença do Minho and the Bom Jesus do Monte sanctuary in Braga. They then walked part of the Trilho da Geira in Terras de Bouro, although rain meant shortening that route. In Guimarães they visited the castle, the Palace of the Dukes of Braganza and the historic centre.

The journey continued with a section of the Portuguese Coastal Way from the Anémona area towards Porto, where the group explored the city and crossed the Dom Luís I Bridge. Later came the Passadiços do Rio Vez, Vigo and the Cíes Islands. Several travellers also contributed footage from the island visit to the video. Santiago de Compostela was the final stop before the return to Mallorca.

Changing weather, journeys between places and days of exploration were experienced together. Sharing the route and contributing to the film reflect the friendly, family atmosphere the association seeks to bring to its travels.

This travel video summary brings together scenes from the six days and invites us to revisit the paths and cities of northern Portugal and Galicia with the first group.
